| Greece to Receive Further Assistance Posted: 10 Oct 2011 08:42 AM PDT After a week of review of the Greek financial situation on the part of the EU, IMF, and ECB, Greece will receive an €8 billion loan. Greece will receive the loan in early November despite the fact that many EU ministers and the IMF expressed disappointment in the Greek government's inability to meet its expectations in terms of reducing debt. Nevertheless, the EU, IMF, and ECB agreed that the EU would be worse off were it not give the authorization for further loans to Greece.       |
